FAQs

How much do you charge?

As a non profit charity, all fees for our services go directly towards supporting the costs of the projects. Costs are discussed on an individual basis, and projects are tailored to take your budget into account.

What kind of things can you do?

We can do anything from regular singing or instrumental provision, to one-off completely individual projects for your school. HMDT Music works in partnership with schools, artists and organisations to create individual projects to suit your students and achieve your desired aims and outcomes.

Do you have any ready made projects that I can bring into my school?

Yes. Many of our past commissions can be tailored to suit your school. These include Trench Brothers (link), a project commemorating unsung heroes of the First World War, Hear Our Voice (link), a project commemorating children’s voices in the Holocaust and The Hackney Chronicles, an opera for primary schools telling the story of 4 periods of Hackney’s history. If you see anything else on the site which you might be interested in, please do get in touch. It is also possible for you to purchase the Hear Our Voice education pack ‘Teaching the Holocaust through the Arts’ (link to book in shop), which is a fantastic resource to help students understand and develop an emotional response to these events and for use around Holocaust Memorial Day.
